A Special Sukkot Blessing In Israel today! As a nation God’s people in Israel are always pulled between the extreme poles of ecstasy and tragedy. They are either celebrating the wonders and miracles of God’s help, or else grieving over the loss of their family and friends.
They go and with God’s divine help create an amazing country out of the ashes of the Holocaust, only to be immediately struck with anxieties and fears over existential threats from their hostile neighbors whom they have helped repeatedly.
They win wars, thank God, against all the odds, but then most Israelis must agonize and weep over the aftermath and consequences of every conflict.
And so as they invite their loved ones, family and friends to join them in their Sukkah to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles this year, and as they ponder together their inexplicable existence in this land of promise, it is surely time for all to find shelter and strength under the covering of the Almighty in knowledge and faith that in the midst of all this turmoil, our greatest moments are yet to come, and come they shall if only for His name’s sake.
Please pray for the peace of Jerusalem!
